At the moment we have quite a few characters in the High and Lower Mid tier, but only 3! characters in Upper Mid. So we have the following solutions IMO:

Solution #1: Move Characters Up

In my opinion, the only two that might have merit are Tana and Myrrh. Saleh might, but that could be left for discussion. With Myrrh, it's at least comparing to Garcia, in a way, since Garcia is a lot more into early-to-midgame utility (and possibly stretching his longevity) and Myrrh is moreso a "filler" that can nuke things right from the get-go.

Solution #2: Move Characters Down

I'm thinking that Natasha is the one that is the weakest link in the Upper Mid list atm (healers aren't doing so hot level-wise in this game) and Artur | Lute might be suspects as well due to their rough earlygame and iffy support speeds.

Solution #3: Do Nothing

I don't like this solution. Let's avoid this one.

We could probably compromise with Solution #1 and #2. IMO Natasha looks like a unit that should go down (Moulder might too but that is better left in another topic) and perhaps Myrrh | Tana could go up. I think Myrrh especially, but Tana might have some justice to go up there.

Sorry, I'm more of a "spark discussion" kind of person. tl;dr, we need to make Upper Mid a little bigger. Let's hear some thoughts.

I could also just merge the Mid tiers again. Really though, how many people are in one tier is mostly an aesthetics thing. The goal of a tier list isn't to group people in even groups, it's to list characters from best to worst, and put tier gaps where a huge gap in performance is appropriate. And often times I find myself thinking "is there really so many tier gaps" just like with the FE4 list.

Tiers aren't there to look good, they're there to classify the abilities of a unit compared to other units. If there is a large gap between those three and those in lower mid and high tiers, then those three have a right to have a tier of their own.

I can't comment if these gaps do exist however, as I haven't player the game.

The main argument here is: "is there a tier gap difference somewhere?"

I guess I see it as aesthetics, but maybe I just like it looking "purdy" for my sakes. But hey, maybe there isn't anything to do here so I'll refrain from this.

I just want to say that while I do agree that accuracy should prioritize aesthetics, it just doesn't seem accurate to have 85% of the cast [seriously that's how bad it was] in Mid tier. I was so desperate for a split because, well, I'm convinced there's one in there somewhere. If it turns out that Mid tier should be that oversized, then we can always change it back, but I'd prefer that as a last resort until we're absolutely sure it should be that large.

I moved some characters up to upper-mid for now. If you don't think Tana and Myrrh belong in upper-mid, argue away.
