Why is there an entire tier gap between Sleuf and Sara/Linoan/Salem?

Sleuf arrives after Salem and Linoan, but will probably have a higher staff rank when all are recruited (unless Salem got an early promotion). All 4 character mentioned have either garbage durability or meh offense. The reason they are this high are due to their staff ranks right (if it was offense, Miranda will be much higher)? Linoan and Sara shouldn't attack b/c anything with 17attack or 28ish magic will 1HKO them in a 1RN game. Salem is just probably better off staff spamming as well. Is mediocre offense really justification a tier gap, when all 4 are better off just staff spamming?

Anyone against Sleuf to bottom of High?

I have a hard time seeing Sleuf over Tina/Nanna, but then again I could see Tina going up so whatever. Sleuf definitely deserves to be in high tier, and high up in the tier as well.

It seems that Sleuf is just in the wrong tier. Sleuf functions identically as a Linoan/Salem/Sara who isn't trained and thus takes up no resources. I'm certain the trio aren't in high because of their offense alone. The trio needs to either waste a lot of staff uses to reach A or waste less stave uses and a promotion item to reach A. All this means is Sleuf is superior to the trio until Sara/Linoan/Salem can use warps/rewarps, but they have a negative cost applied in wasting lots of resources in order to reach the goal in a reasonable timeframe.

Anyone against Sleuf to High?

I'm in agreement, although I'll wait for a few more opinions before making the change. If there's anybody on the forum who actually read this list that is.

Sleuf's base rank of staves alone should be in high tier.

I don't mind him rising, but I'd at least like some attempt at comparing what he does vs. what Karin and Dagda do before he jumps to High.

They all are essentially utility characters. Karin is primarily used for flyer utility, Dagda is earlygame utility (although he still holds his own midgame as well) and Sleuf is staff utility. Its all a matter of what is valued more highly, although I'm leaning more towards Sleuf at this point.

Staff utility >>> flying utility though. You can warp someone virtually anywhere on the map, even in FOW, which is like giving someone infinite move. A flier just can't compete with that. In addition, there are all sorts of other cool things staves do, such as healing (durr), getting rid of sleep/silence/berserk threats, reviving a unit from various status effects such as poison, rescuing a faraway unit in danger, and the list goes on.

I have no real objections to Sleuf raising to High other than "he doesn't have a lot of availability" but that's weak.
