It is easy to open a shop but hard to keep it always open. To Borgia who became Pope Alexander VI in The Borgias DVD, this quote might be more appropriate. In the papal conclave enrages his rivals in the College of Cardinals, some of whom decided to plot against him, it’s hard for him to deal with this. But we do like this kind of tv show focus on civil war without any weapon. That period of time in The Borgias Season 1 DVD is hard to imagination due to the totally different political system and social environment, but it truly exists in history. Just like the process of human growth and development, our society is developing basing on the invisible social rules. We don’t know the thoughts when we were children, so couldn’t we imagine the past years. Fortunately we can review that era, that system on tv, which restore the real scene at that time. The biggest difference between the old era of a new era is the position of women, as a tool during old era before women’s liberation. This might be the most attractive aspects in The Borgias DVD for audience.
